Basketball Recap: Edgewater Gets the Win

Edgewater's tournament run continued when they took on Milton on Friday. The Edgewater Eagles snuck past the Milton Panthers with a 58-52 victory.

Milton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Treymar Jones, who made all 6 shots he took for 19 points and eight boards. The game was Jones' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ra'Shaun Elzy, who made all 7 shots he took to post 17 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Edgewater's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Milton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Edgewater wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-47 loss against St. Thomas Aquinas on the 28th. Milton has also already played their next contest, a 57-52 defeat against Creekside on the 28th.
