Baseball Recap: Coon Rapids-Bayard Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Coon Rapids-Bayard had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Coon Rapids-Bayard's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Glidden-Ralston, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.

Looking ahead, Coon Rapids-Bayard will challenge Newell-Fonda on Saturday. Glidden-Ralston has already played their next match (against East Sac County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
