Basketball Game Preview: Bell Bulldogs vs. Bronson Eagles

The Bell Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Bronson Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bell is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Bell was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Dixie County.

Despite the loss, Bell got top-tier performance from Maddie Smith, who posted 22 points and eight steals. What's more, Smith also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Dacy Graham, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Bell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Bronson played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by First Christian and fell 56-20. The Eagles were down 47-19 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Bell's record is now 5-9. As for Bronson, their record is now 6-5.

Bell couldn't quite finish off Bronson when the teams last played back in December of 2024 and fell 45-43. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bronson's Andrea Schuler, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds.
