Football Game Preview: North Ridgeville Rangers vs. Avon Lake Shoremen

North Ridgeville is 2-7 against Avon Lake since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Rangers will head out to take on the Shoremen at 7:00 p.m. North Ridgeville is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

North Ridgeville will bounce into Friday's game after beating Berea-Midpark, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rangers came out on top against the Titans by a score of 42-35 on Friday. The Rangers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Avon Lake was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 25-21 to Olmsted Falls. The Shoremen have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Avon Lake now has a losing record of 3-4. As for North Ridgeville, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

North Ridgeville couldn't quite finish off Avon Lake in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 12-10. Can the Rangers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
