Volleyball Recap: Murray County Comes Up Short

Murray County was the 2-0 winner over Oakwood Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their offense was headlined by Kenzi Fritts and Katherine Stone, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Jordyn Farmer and her 11 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Murray County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Oakwood Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Murray County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Rome on the 12th. As for Oakwood Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against LaFayette on the 12th.
