Soccer Recap: Clairemont Takes a Loss

Clairemont's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Coronado Islanders by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Chieftains have lost by just one goal.

Clairemont now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Coronado, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3.

Clairemont will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mater Dei Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Mater Dei Catholic will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Clairemont surely won't give up without a fight. Coronado will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
