Softball Game Preview: Kirby Trojans vs. Centerpoint Knights

The Kirby Trojans will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Centerpoint Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Kirby has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Centerpoint will arrive with four straight wins.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Kirby's offense. They came up short against Spring Hill on Tuesday, falling 19-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centerpoint). They put the hurt on Mountain Pine with a sharp 18-2 victory on Tuesday. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Centerpoint's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Kirby, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
