Baseball Game Preview: Sussex Tech Ravens vs. Laurel Bulldogs

Sussex Tech has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Laurel has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Ravens will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m.

Sussex Tech is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Caesar Rodney, who was ranked fifth at the time (Sussex Tech was ranked seventh). The Ravens took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riders on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, while Laurel put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Woodbridge. The Bulldogs walked away with a 4-0 win over the Raiders. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Sussex Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Laurel, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Everything went Sussex Tech's way against Laurel when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Sussex Tech made off with an 8-2 win. Do the Ravens have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
