Basketball Recap: St. Margaret's Comes Up Short

St. Margaret was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 66-54 to the Irvine Vaqueros. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-46 back in December of 2024.

Cooper Stearns was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds for Irvine. Stearns' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Juan Martinez, who posted nine points.

St. Margaret's loss dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Irvine, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.

As of now, neither St. Margaret's nor Irvine have any future games scheduled.
