Basketball Recap: Isabel Hackney's Big Game Can't Quite Lead South Central over Meade

South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 50-31 fall against the Meade Buffaloes. The Timberwolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Buffaloes from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

South Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isabel Hackney, who posted five points along with eight boards and six assists. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Remi Martin, who scored seven points and 12 boards.

South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Meade, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

South Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 38-33 victory against Ingalls on the 17th. As for Meade, they have also already played their next game, a 56-27 loss against South Gray on the 17th.
