Kaneland kept a clean sheet against Sycamore on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Spartans 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Kaneland's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 337th, while Sycamore are ranked 151st).

Kaneland's one-goal win came courtesy of Jackson Boryc, which was the first he's scored this season.

Kaneland is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-9 record this season. As for Sycamore, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kaneland will venture away from home to challenge West Aurora at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Sycamore, they will head out to take on Hononegah at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
