Basketball Recap: Glenwood City Find Success

On Saturday, the Glenwood City Hilltoppers were able to grind out a solid victory over the Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran Lancers, taking the game 59-51.

Brody Olson was his usual excellent self, going 7-for-16 to rack up 26 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. He has become a key player for Glenwood City: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 25 points, but 6-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Thompson, who went 5-for-8 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

The win got Glenwood City back to even at 10-10. As for Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Glenwood City is taking a road trip to square off against Elmwood/Plum City at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran, they will face off against Pepin/Alma at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
