Justin Slaughter, Brooks's leading hitter, solidified his role on Tuesday. Nobody could stop Slaughter as he scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has become a key player for Brooks: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 11-12 otherwise.

Coming up, Slaughter and Brooks are taking a road trip to square off against Taft at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
