Basketball Recap: Triangle Math & Science Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Research Triangle on Friday, Triangle Math & Science Academy came back down to earth. The Tigers fell 37-30 to the Franklin Academy Patriots on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Among those leading the charge was Rayne Bookhart, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and three steals. What's more, she posted two blocks, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Ifrika Akajo also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Triangle Math & Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Franklin Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season.
