Basketball Recap: Wyatt Graham Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Pollok Central hadn't done well against Woodville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Pollok Central Bulldogs enjoyed a cozy 58-40 victory over the Woodville Eagles. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 63-58 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pollok Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Graham out in front who went 6 of 8 en route to 17 points. Graham continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaynin Poage, who posted 11 points and five steals.

Pollok Central is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.4 points per game. As for Woodville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pollok Central will square off against Pineywoods Community Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pineywoods Community Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pollok Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodville, they will challenge Huntington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
