Basketball Game Preview: Holmdel Hornets vs. Voorhees Vikings

The Holmdel Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Voorhees Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Holmdel is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 70-57 victory over Shore Regional on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Voorhees posted their closest win since December 19, 2023 on Monday. They had just enough and edged North Hunterdon out 40-37. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Lions are ranked 198th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Holmdel now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Voorhees, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
