New Castle is 8-2 against Richmond since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trojans will challenge the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. Richmond took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on New Castle, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, New Castle made easy work of Centerville and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: New Castle took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greenfield-Central.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-27, 25-20.

New Castle now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

New Castle took their victory against Richmond in their previous meeting back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
