Volleyball Game Preview: Firebaugh Falcons vs. Dominguez Dons

Firebaugh is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Dominguez a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Firebaugh Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dominguez Dons at 3:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Firebaugh came up short against La Mirada and fell 3-1. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Matadores 25-21 in the first set.

Firebaugh started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Dominguez hadn't done well against Lynwood recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Dominguez skirted past Lynwood 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dons have posted since March 9, 2024.

Firebaugh now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Dominguez, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Firebaugh beat Dominguez 3-1 when the teams last played on March 13th. Does Firebaugh have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dominguez turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
