Soccer Game Preview: Cottonwood vs. Hillcrest

The Cottonwood Colts will head out on the road to face off against the Hillcrest Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cottonwood has given up an average of 4.3 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cottonwood managed to keep up with Layton Christian Academy until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Colts came up short against the Eagles, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Cottonwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Layton Christian Academy are ranked 16th).

Meanwhile, Hillcrest came up short against Murray on Friday and fell 4-2. Hillcrest haven't had much luck with Murray recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Christian Case and Lucas Felix scored both of Hillcrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Cottonwood dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
