Baseball Recap: Stone Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Stone waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They beat the Wayne County War Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-4. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 9-4 win on Friday.

Kellan Burge was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Nolan Scott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Stone's victory bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Wayne County, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-20.

As of now, neither Stone nor the War Eagles have any future games scheduled.
