Pleasant Grove has gone a perfect 8-0 against Taylorsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pleasant Grove Vikings will take on the Taylorsville Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Pleasant Grove will be strutting in after a win while Taylorsville will be coming in after a defeat.

Pleasant Grove took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over Davis.

Keaton Nordick tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched.

At the plate, C.J. Anderson and Drew Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Anderson went 1-for-4 with one home run, while Smith scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Nash Clement was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Taylorsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cottonwood.

Taylorsville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pleasant Grove, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Pleasant Grove took their win against Taylorsville when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. Does Pleasant Grove have another victory up their sleeve, or will Taylorsville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
