Baseball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

New Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Red Bay Tigers, falling 9-2.

Andrew Dudley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Lucas Terry also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

New Hope now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Red Bay, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, New Hope will welcome Kate Duncan Smith DAR at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Bay, they will face off against Hatton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Bay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
