Baseball Recap: Arleta Takes a Loss

Arleta lost against Monroe back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-3.

Arleta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Thomas, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Abel Catalan was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Arleta has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Monroe, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Arleta had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
