Recap: Frederick Fraize Aces vs. Cannelton Bulldogs

The Frederick Fraize Aces's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 24-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cannelton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Frederick Fraize in their matchups with Cannelton: they've now lost five in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Bria Garrett, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her.

Frederick Fraize bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.8 points per game. As for Cannelton, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frederick Fraize has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Highlands Latin at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. Highlands Latin comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Cannelton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Doss at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
