Heritage Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against Calvary Christian Academy as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Heritage Academy was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-12.

Ava Dahn paced Heritage Academy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Dahn got some help from Payton Wood and her 19 assists. Wood was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 16 aces.

Calvary Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia McCumber, who had 12 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Madie Robinette, who had 16 digs and one block.

Heritage Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heritage Academy will square off against Carroll Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will face off against Faith Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
