Soccer Recap: Statesboro Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Statesboro was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 5-0 to the Lakeside Panthers. While losing is never fun, Statesboro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Lakeside are ranked 71st).

Statesboro has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Lakeside, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

As of now, neither Statesboro nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
