Recap: Archbishop Bergan Knights vs. Scotus Shamrocks

There's no place like home for the Archbishop Bergan Knights, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Scotus by a score of 60-51 on Friday. For Archbishop Bergan, this counts as revenge for the 50-48 loss Scotus walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Archbishop Bergan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Logan Eggen, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Baker, who scored 15 points.

Archbishop Bergan's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Scotus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Bergan will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Concordia at 7:45 p.m. on January 30th. Concordia will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Scotus, they will head out on the road to square off against Boys Town at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Boys Town is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.2 points per game.
