Red Mountain's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Kofa on Tuesday. Everything went the Mountain Lions' way against the Skyline Coyotes as they made off with  a  12-2 victory. The Mountain Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Maddox Loria looked comfortable as he  tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Derek Wilson, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Simeon Johnson, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  runs.
Red Mountain has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Skyline, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record  this season.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Red Mountain beat Skyline by a score of  12-1 on Thursday.
