Basketball Game Preview: Archer City Wildcats vs. Windthorst Trojans

Archer City is 2-8 against Windthorst since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Archer City Wildcats will square off against the Windthorst Trojans at 6:15 p.m. Archer City will be strutting in after a win while Windthorst will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Archer City didn't have too much trouble with Olney as they won 34-18. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, Windthorst had to suffer through a 66-36 loss at the hands of Seymour. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 842nd, while the Panthers are ranked 289th).

Archer City's victory bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Windthorst, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

Archer City came up short against Windthorst when the teams last played on January 7th, falling 52-40. Can Archer City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
