Volleyball Recap: Taravella Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Taravella can now relate to. They fell just short of the Nova Titans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Among those leading the charge was Manuel Castro, who had 18 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave him a new career-high. Demetrius Sequera also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

Taravella's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Nova, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Taravella does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nova, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Western on the 30th.
