Softball Game Preview: South Oldham Dragons vs. Atherton Ravens

The South Oldham Dragons will head out on the road to square off against the Atherton Ravens at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Oldham will be strutting in after a win while Atherton will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, it was close, but South Oldham sidestepped Bethlehem for an 8-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Meanwhile, Atherton fell victim to Metamora and their airtight pitching crew last Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the Redbirds. The game marked the first time this season in which the Ravens were not able to get on the board.

South Oldham's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Atherton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

South Oldham came up short against Atherton when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 5-2. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
