Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Road Wins for Wenonah

Wenonah had won six straight road games and Samarian Franklin did her part to make it seven on Thursday. The Wenonah Dragons took down the Jackson-Olin Mustangs 52-37 thanks in part to Franklin, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine assists. Her evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Aariyanah Parker, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds. She has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last six times she's played.

Wenonah is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Jackson-Olin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-5.

The future could be bright for both Wenonah and Jackson-Olin: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Wenonah will try to hand John Carroll Catholic their third-straight loss when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Similarly, Jackson-Olin will try to hand Parker their eighth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
