Baseball Recap: Tell City Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tell City ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the South Dearborn Knights.

Drew Greulich spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Tell City's record now sits at 7-10. As for South Dearborn, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Tell City will look to defend their home field on Monday against Perry Central at 5:00 p.m. As for South Dearborn, they will challenge Charlestown at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
