Soccer Game Preview: Madera South vs. Yosemite

The Madera South Stallions and the Yosemite Badgers will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Madera South's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Friday, Madera South and Madera finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Yosemite made sure to put some goals up on the board against Minarets on Friday. They blew past the Mustangs 9-1. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 7-0.

Madera South's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-5. As for Yosemite, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Everything went Madera South's way against Yosemite in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Madera South made off with a 7-1 win. In that matchup, Madera South amassed a halftime lead of 6-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
