Bell City had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Delta on Monday. The Cubs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Bell City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Delta, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
