Baseball Recap: Harding Academy Takes a Loss

Harding Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-5 to Memphis Home Education Association. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 15-9 to Memphis Home Education Association when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sutton Boone made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Karson Redd, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Harding Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Memphis Home Education Association, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-1.

Looking ahead, Harding Academy will host Evangelical Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Memphis Home Education Association, they will square off against Millington Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Memphis Home Education Association is facing Millington Central at the right time seeing as Millington Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
