Grapevine has gone 8-2 against Richland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Royals at 7:30 p.m. Grapevine will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.

Richland's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Grapevine hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Mustangs didn't even let Birdville on the board on Friday, marking the Mustangs' second-straight 7-0 shutout. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

Richland couldn't beat Azle on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Royals fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 10-8.

Caleb Wallace was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Cole Sandifer, who earned two RBI and one run.

Richland's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-17-1. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 2.75 runs. As for Grapevine, their victory bumped their record up to 24-3.

Grapevine got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Richland by a conclusive 17-1 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Royals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
