After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kimberly, Appleton East was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Oshkosh North Spartans with a sharp 13-1 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Appleton East's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Oshkosh North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
