Basketball Game Preview: Bluffton Pirates vs. Ottoville Big Green

Bluffton hasn't had much luck against Ottoville recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Pirates will welcome the Big Green at 12:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated (Bluffton has three wins , while Ottoville has four dating back to last season).

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Bluffton against Benjamin Logan as the squad secured a 72-45 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-17.

Bluffton relied on the efforts of Gracie Warren, who shot 58% from the field on her way to 16 points and six steals, and Blair Utendorf, who posted seven points in addition to eight steals and seven assists. The dominant performance also gave Utendorf a new career-high in field goal percentage (75%). Taylin Goldman was another key player, going 6-for-8 to rack up 12 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Ottoville took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 65-28 victory over Fort Jennings. That 37 point margin sets a new team best for the Big Green this season.

Ottoville's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Bluffton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
