Basketball Recap: Iroquois/Lake Preston Comes Up Short

Iroquois/Lake Preston's game on Tuesday was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a hard 42-27 fall against the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots. Iroquois/Lake Preston was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hitchcock-Tulare apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Hitchcock-Tulare's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cambree Hoekman, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Schroeder, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Iroquois/Lake Preston and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Iroquois/Lake Preston will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Deubrook at 6:15 p.m. As for Hitchcock-Tulare, they will head out to square off against Northwestern Area at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
