Softball Recap: Dublin Gaels vs. Dougherty Valley Wildcats

Dublin entered their tilt with Dougherty Valley with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over the Dougherty Valley Wildcats on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for Dublin, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

AJ Avelar was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and a double. Another player making a difference was Sydney Costello, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

On Dougherty Valley's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Osborn, who went 1-for-3 with a home run. Osborn has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.
