League recap: Somerset extends winning streak with victory over Bishop Stang

Somerset extended the longest winning streak in Eastern this week by beating Bishop Stang, 29-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Raiders.

Somerset was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Spartans. Nick Freitas' team came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 31 last week.

Alec Tattersall and Brandon Watkins gave Martha's Vineyard Regional a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Tattersall threw for 63 yards, while Watkins ran for 59 yards. Teammate Doug Andrade added to the ground attack by rushing for 14 yards.

Dylan Greene provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Coyle-Cassidy fell to Bishop Feehan. He completed five passes for 56 yards and also ran for 20 yards. Greene's favorite target this week was John Monahan, who caught three passes for 41 yards.

The Vineyarders' Tattersall and Watkins have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Tattersall has thrown for 564 yards this season, while Watkins, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 12 catches for 201 yards. Joshua Cobb from the Warriors leads the league in rushing with 609 yards.

The Raiders made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,256 from 2,846. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 29-0 victory over Bishop Stang last week.
