Basketball Recap: Chadwick Beats Tahquitz for Their Third Straight Victory

While Chadwick didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 59-46 win over the Tahquitz Titans on Thursday. Given the Dolphins' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 636th, while the Titans are ranked 1284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chadwick to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gregory Angulo, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Todd Mihm, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 boards.

The victory (which was Chadwick's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Tahquitz, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Chadwick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-49 win against Notre Dame on the 27th. As for Tahquitz, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-41 defeat against Valley View on the 27th.
