After soaring to 70 points the game before, Morgan was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They had to suffer through a 54-8 loss at the hands of the Gustine Tigers. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-8.

Morgan's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Gustine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Morgan will be playing at home against Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Gustine, they will head out on the road to take on Blanket at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gustine will need to watch out since Blanket has now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
