Monterey Trail hadn't done well against Pleasant Grove recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Monterey Trail Mustangs came out on top against the Pleasant Grove Eagles by a score of  3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
 Monterey Trail had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-19, 26-24,  25-20.
 Dehryn Brown paced Monterey Trail's offense, picking up 28 kills. Brown got some help from  Chris Huang and his 53 assists.
Monterey Trail's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Pleasant Grove, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 4-3.
 Monterey Trail wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  win against Vista del Lago on the 15th. Pleasant Grove will have a little extra prep time after the  defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Franklin at 5:30  p.m.  on March 27th.
