Basketball Recap: Sunnyvale Takes a Loss

If Sunnyvale was riding high fresh off their 55-25 takedown of Gunter on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Sunnyvale took a hard 71-54 fall against the Commerce Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, Sunnyvale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 671st, while Commerce is ranked 244th).

Sunnyvale's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Commerce, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Sunnyvale will head out to face off against Fort Worth Country Day at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Commerce, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Commerce Tigers face off against the Rains Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
