Softball Recap: Kennedale Comes Up Short

Kennedale came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 16-6 to the Ferris Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-5 back in March.

The defeat snapped Kennedale's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-8-1 record. As for Ferris, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10-2.

Coincidentally, Kennedale and Ferris will both be playing Hillsboro the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
