Volleyball Recap: Lancaster Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against KIPP Nashville Collegiate

Lancaster Christian Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the KIPP Nashville Collegiate Warriors 3-0.

One reason for the win was Lancaster Christian Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-5, 25-3.

Abigail Geerts produced another solid performance getting 23 aces and five assists. Those 23 aces gave her a new career-high. Katie Parsley was another key player, getting nine aces, six kills, and three digs.

They weren't the only good server: Lancaster Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 39 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 12 consecutive games.

Lancaster Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for KIPP Nashville Collegiate, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster Christian Academy will take on Tennessee Heat at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for KIPP Nashville Collegiate, they will head out to challenge LEAD Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
