Soccer Game Preview: Hebron vs. Denton

The Hebron Hawks will challenge the Denton Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Hebron is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Creekview get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Denton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Hornets. Denton might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Azle from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Stephen Hayibor led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Denton's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Hebron, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.

Hebron beat Denton 2-0 when the teams last played back in January of 2019. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
