Softball Recap: Clear Spring Comes Up Short at Home Against James Buchanan

Clear Spring unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 9-0 to the James Buchanan Rockets on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blazers of the 16-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

James Buchanan pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Clear Spring will challenge North Hagerstown at 4:45 p.m. on March 21st. The match will give Clear Spring their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for James Buchanan, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-1 victory against Fairfield on the 18th.
